I’m doing a speech on why you should homeschool and I need some good points. I have a lot of good points for public school, as I went there a couple years ago, but I also know that it is better to homeschool but I need more good points to make it convincing. My mom wants me to include statistics in my speech so it’d be nice if you included that but it’s not needed to answer the question. thank you ![]()
so far I’ve got-
1. When one curriculum is not working out you can use another
2. Can choose what you study
3. Hands on experience with someone you know
4. great teacher
5. no pure pressure/bad influences
6. If you have trouble with something (let’s say ratios in math) then you can stop and work on that until the child understands it
7. LOTS more field trip opportunities compared to the two field trips a year in public school.
8. Less work but more learning.
9. Homeschoolers score an average of 37 more points than students in public school on their standardized testing
I guess I just want to know if you could add anything extra, thanks ![]()
10. closer relationship with God
11. The rumor that homeschoolers are more likely to be socially inapt is false. They are actually more likely to be outgoing with people they don’t know along with their friends because they care less about what people think where as public school children are more likely to endure bullying thus lowering their self esteem making them care more about what other people think so they don’t speak as often in fear that someone else would think badly of them.
12. closer relationship with parents
